Every musician knows that nothing can match the unique "sonic footprint" of a vacuum tube. The warmth of tone, dynamic responsiveness, and incredible sonic clarity of tube circuits is the stuff of legend. With this in mind, the Engineers at Maxon have spent years of research and development in order to create a line of guitar effects that would offer the sonic benefits of vacuum tubes coupled with the ease of use of a compact floor effect. The result is the Maxon Real Tube Series.
Each Real Tube model features a heavy-duty, bent steel chassis with air vent for tube. Only the highest quality components are used, including metal jacks and switches and hand-selected dual triode tubes. This combination of superior components and ingenious designs yields stunningly realistic tones that rival the most expensive tube gear.
When only the real thing will do, the Maxon Real Tube Series is the only choice.
- Rugged, Lightweight Chassis Made of 1/16" bent steel, extremely lightweight (approximately 1 pound) and strong. The chassis size allows for optimum component positioning to minimize cross-talk that can lead to excessive noise and signal coloration. Tube vent allows for sufficient cooling of internal triode.
- Internal Tube Power Each unit features a hand-selected Sovtek 12AY7EH dual triode vacuum tube with ceramic socket and protective shield. Tube socket is isolated from PCB for low-noise operation.
- Mechanical Bypass Switching Mechanical bypass switching using DPDT switch reduces switching noise inherent to tube circuits. High impedance buffers on Inputs and low impedance buffers on Outputs help to further reduce noise and provide transparent operation in bypass.
- AC Power Operation Power using Maxon AC210N AC adaptor (120 VAC in / 9 VDC out. 200 mA center - / sleeve +).
- LED Power/Boost indicator Ultra bright LED's indicate Effect status (on/off) and Boost status (on/off).
- 3-Year Warranty Godlyke Inc. guarantees to replace or repair (at their option) this product should it suffer from defects in materials or workmanship.
Coverage period is one year for moving parts (example: pots, switches, jacks) and three years for non-moving parts (example: IC's, transistors, etc.).
Damages caused by accident, abuse, alteration, or misuse are not covered by this warranty. Product appearance and normal "wear and tear" (worn paint, scratches, etc.) are not covered by this warranty.
No other warranty is expressed or implied.
- All specifications subject to change without notice.
